Just tries changing my email on this forum. When I click save it doesn't stick and goes back to the old email.

Which is the address you are trying to set? Maybe this is some kind of
validation error. I'll check if errors are correctly reported for that form.

The error message was indeed missing. Fixed now. Hopefully it should
give enough information to see what goes wrong.
