Is there any interest in support for Unix domain sockets, or do they already exist? It would be helpful for certain types of servers.

There is an open ticket (#500) and there indeed seems to be general interest in this. I'm personally not using them currently (except indirectly using createFileDescriptorEvent), so it would be good if someone who could directly test this would have a go at it.
